We had such a jolly and festive gathering last Wednesday! Lisa hosted a cozy group of 15 Belles and made the most beautiful charcuterie board featuring English cheese and toffee, as a nod to our book, along with parsnip and apple soup and sausage rolls. Plus mulled wine and the hot cocoa bar got us all in the Christmas spirit! 🎄☕

Our Christmas book club meeting is always a fun one with a cookie exchange, "blind date with a book" swap, and great discussion of a holiday themed book.

Everyone brought a wrapped book for the "blind date with a book" swap. The books were beautifully wrapped, and we had so much fun guessing the books before they were opened! The books that were the most stolen were the two Alice Feeney thrillers and The Christmas Jigsaw Murders.

Our cookie exchange was also a success with SO many cookies! Everyone took home a box of cookies to enjoy.

Thoughts were all over the place for The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter. It was a quick read and it currently has a 6.33 out of 10 rating from book club members. Most were more drawn to the mystery element vs the romance element of the book.

Additionally, thank you to all who brought a book or two for our Together for Others: Sisterhood of Service book drive! Lisa will generously bring all the books to Open Books.
