Thank you to everyone who came out to Spring Spirits 2025! We had a fantastic group of 39 Belles from all different class years gather at The Apartments at Lincoln Common. Thank you to our hostess, Caroline O’Brien ND ‘20, for hosting us in the event space at her beautiful apartment complex. We enjoyed 360 views of the Chicago skyline and lake from the 20th floor space. We had a great menu of light appetizers including charcuterie boards and veggie platters, bruschetta with crostini, shrimp cocktail, spinach dip, Caesar salad, chicken skewers, Italian meatballs and a full dessert spread.
Thank you to the generous Belles who sponsored and helped cover the cost of hosting this event – Andrea Szkwarko ‘98, Kathy Sherlock ‘84, Mary Reyes ‘03, Jacqueline Leskovec ‘74, Megan O’Neill ‘10 and Julie Stride. Their donations helped cover the cost of this event to ensure that the proceeds from our ticket sales, silent auction and raffle go towards the scholarship fund.
Spring Spirits is our biggest fundraiser for the Chicago East Endowed Scholarship fund. The scholarship is given annually to Chicago-area Belles. For the 2024-2025 school year, the scholarship awarded $26,300 total to three students (roughly $8,700 each).
We had some amazing silent auction and raffle items including a French Cross charm bracelet, Coach clutch, Bodyrok Studio gift cards (1 unlimited month and 5 class intro package), game night basket, a signed copy of the children’s book The Leprechaun’s Game Day at Notre Dame, Le Mans snow globe, Rachel Reynolds art prints, Le Mans charcuterie board, some great cookbooks, books and wine and more!

The raffle and silent auction were an incredible success raising over $3,500 for the SMC Chicago East Endowed Scholarship! Thank you to all the generous Belles who purchased raffle tickets and placed bids!
