For our July book, we chose to read a "summer" book, and read One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle!
We fully embraced the Italian theme—dressed in breezy linens, citrus prints, and chic scarves and hats. With Aperol Spritzes in hand, we enjoyed a delicious spread of pasta, build-your-own caprese salads, olives, and sweet treats like cannoli, lemon tiramisu, lemon blondies, and more. Thank you to Geneviève for hosting!
We had a fabulous group of 12 attend the meeting to discuss the book. Our favorite part of the evening might have been swapping stories, photos, and "rules" from our moms—so on-theme and so fun.
One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle:
The New York Times bestselling author of In Five Years returns with a powerful novel about the transformational love between mothers and daughters set on the breathtaking Amalfi Coast.
Rebecca Serle’s next great love story is here, and this time it’s between a mother and a daughter. With her signature “heartbreaking, redemptive, and authentic” (Jamie Ford, New York Times bestselling author) prose, Serle has crafted a transcendent novel about how we move on after loss, and how the people we love never truly leave us.
