Our book club met last week on October 22nd to discuss our mysterious October pick - The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman.

In general, everyone seems to be a fan of the cozy mystery genre and enjoyed this book, but some found the book a little complicated. Many have also seen the movie (streaming on Netflix!) and liked that it was a little less complicated even if it cut out some parts from the book. A few people have also gone on to read more in the series (there are 5!) and Book 2 is well-loved for sure.

Thank you to Genevieve who volunteered as our first discussion leader! She kept the discussion moving, and we touched on topics like found family, how women and elderly can be overlooked, and the complexities of independent and assisted living.

Thank you to Caroline for hosting the meeting in her home and providing Lou Malnati's pizza and salad. We surprised Caroline with a 30th birthday cake (baked by Basia!) and everyone enjoyed some bubbly and delish fall desserts.

Let us know your thoughts and read along with us each month!
