The book club met on April 24th to discuss the book The Girl with Seven Names: Escape from North Korea by Hyeonseo Lee.

For our April Dinner Belles outing, we went to Orso’s Italian Restaurant in Old Town and enjoyed a great meal together.
The Belles met up at United Center to cheer on the Blackhawks! We had 15 Belles attend and the Blackhawks pulled off a win.
This month we partnered with the ND Club of Chicago to make dinner at Lincoln Park Community Services for 40 residents.
The book club met on March 20th to discuss the book The Arrangement by Robyn Harding at the Time Out Market in West Loop.
For our March Dinner Belles outing, we went to Fadó Irish Pub for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration which featured a performance by a bagpiper.
In honor of Women’s History Month, we hosted a supply drive and put together 50 period kits for The Period Collective.
For our February Dinner Belles outing, we went to Paradise Park Pizza. We enjoyed the warm “spring” weather with the open patio doors!
The book club met on February 22nd to discuss the book Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson. We even tried some traditional black cake!
We had 14 Belles attend our Galentine’s Day celebration at City Winery for a fun evening of wine, appetizers and conversation.
The monthly Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College Senior Alumni lunch was at Emerald Loop for their first gathering of 2024.
We are so excited to start a new monthly dinner club - “Dinner Belles.” Our first gathering was at Alpana for Chicago Restaurant Week.
For our first service event of 2024, we helped sort donations and set up the new El Àrbol Free Store in Logan Square.

The book club hosted the largest meeting ever, 16 Belles, for a book discussion, cookie exchange and holiday party.
We hosted our Holiday Happy Hour at Butch McGuire’s and put together 20 final exam care packages for the Chicago-area first year students.
We hosted our first Founders’ Day event since 2019! Over 30 Belles joined us for mass at St. Clement’s Church and brunch at Galway Arms.
Our spooky October book club meeting included a Jack-o'-lantern charcuterie board, delicious Chili and spooky tombstone pudding cups.
Over 50 ND Club of Chicago and SMC Chicago East Club members attended a joint game watch on October 7th at Moe’s Cantina - Wrigleyville.
We will be collecting new or gently used winter coats and jackets this fall for Refugee Community Connection. Please see our Amazon list if you’d like to buy a new coat.
